Theft of Purse/money
January 22, 2020

On January 22nd, the included pictured subject stole a purse from OSF (812 N. Logan) in Danville.  Inside the purse were multiple gift cards and money due to the victim's son getting donations for medical treatment.  The suspect then went to area businesses and used the stolen gift cards.

The  above pictured suspect has been using a stolen debit card at local  (Vermilion County IL)gas stations and ATM’s between August and October of this year. The male white subject appears to be driving an older model green four door Saturn which is missing a front right hub cap.

Theft
December 03, 2019

Crimestoppers is seeking any information on 3 different thefts throughout Vermilion County involving the front windshields of Skid-steers.  The thefts happened in October.  The front windshields are worth over $1,000.00.

Home Invasion
September 18, 2019

On 09/18/19 around 9:00pm Danville Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Tennessee St in reference to a home invasion.  Upon arrival officers spoke with a 47 year old victim who stated she was in her home when two men entered her residence armed with guns and demanding money.  The victim stated the men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and then fled the scene.  The victim described the suspects as two male blacks around 20 years old and wearing dark colored hoodies.   No injuries were reported during this incident.

 

The investigation into this incident continues and no other information is being released at this time.

Burglary to business
August 03, 2019

 

On 08-03-19 the owner of 1000 Griggs Street reported a burglary to his business Central Storage. The suspects stole numerous A/C Units, misc power tool  and a crossbow gun. Attached are pictures of the suspects.

Arson
August 03, 2019

On 8/3/19 at approximately 10:17 AM, 103 Grace St. caught on fire.  Upon investigating the fire, it was ruled suspicious and possibly an arson.

Shooting investigation
August 01, 2019

On 08/01/19 around 9:02 pm Danville Police responded to the area of Main St. and State St. in reference to a call of shots fired.  Upon arrival officers were investigating the scene and were notified that a victim with a gunshot wound had arrived at OSF Medical Center.  Officers made contact with the victim who is a 19 year old Danville man with a gunshot wound to his torso.  The victim stated he was walking in the area of Main St. and State St. when he heard gunshots and was struck by the gunfire.  The victim stated he was unable to see who fired the shots.  At this time the victim remains under medical care for his wound which is considered serious but he is expected to recover.  No other injuries were reported during this incident.

 

The investigation into this incident continues and no other information is being released at this time.

Hit and Run
July 31, 2019

On 07/31/19 around 2124 hrs officers responded to 824 E Main St for a vehicle/pedestrian hit and run accident.
 

The suspect vehicle was described only as a "White Boxy Style Vehicle". 

 Witnesses stated the white vehicle continued east on main, then turned N/B onto Bowman at which time they lost sight of the vehicle. 

 

The vehicle should have front end damage.
