Danville, IL
On 05/02/21 around 2:14 pm Danville Police responded to the area of the 600 block of Plum St in reference to a victim with a gunshot wound. Upon arrival officers located a 34 year old Danville man who was lying in the roadway with a gunshot wound to his back. The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Officers immediately began an investigation into this incident and learned that the suspect had exited a vehicle and fired one shot at the victim. The suspect then got back into a vehicle and fled the scene prior to the officers arrival. No further suspect information is currently available. The name of the victim is currently being withheld pending notifications by the Vermilion County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation into this incident continues and no other information is being released at this time.

The above pictured suspect has been using a stolen debit card at local (Vermilion County IL)gas stations and ATM’s between August and October of this year. The male white subject appears to be driving an older model green four door Saturn which is missing a front right hub cap.

On 09/18/19 around 9:00pm Danville Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Tennessee St in reference to a home invasion. Upon arrival officers spoke with a 47 year old victim who stated she was in her home when two men entered her residence armed with guns and demanding money. The victim stated the men took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and then fled the scene. The victim described the suspects as two male blacks around 20 years old and wearing dark colored hoodies. No injuries were reported during this incident.

On 08-03-19 the owner of 1000 Griggs Street reported a burglary to his business Central Storage. The suspects stole numerous A/C Units, misc power tool and a crossbow gun. Attached are pictures of the suspects.

On 08/01/19 around 9:02 pm Danville Police responded to the area of Main St. and State St. in reference to a call of shots fired. Upon arrival officers were investigating the scene and were notified that a victim with a gunshot wound had arrived at OSF Medical Center. Officers made contact with the victim who is a 19 year old Danville man with a gunshot wound to his torso. The victim stated he was walking in the area of Main St. and State St. when he heard gunshots and was struck by the gunfire. The victim stated he was unable to see who fired the shots. At this time the victim remains under medical care for his wound which is considered serious but he is expected to recover. No other injuries were reported during this incident.
The investigation into this incident continues and no other information is being released at this time.
